According to the Population and Housing Census 2009, Gia Lai province is home to number of Ba Na people is largest in comparison with other provinces over country (150,415 / 227,716 people, accounting for 66.1 persent of all Vietnam). So far, Ba Na people in Gia Lai is considered one of the indigenous community still also reserve the rather bold traditional beliefs (samat) and traditional cultural nuances. The article highlighted the changes in belief and some effects positive and negative traditional culture of the Ba Na people. On that basis, the author has put forward proposals for conservation measures and traditional culture of Ba Na people in particular and the ethnic groups living in the Central Highlands in general.
