Roller compacted concrete (RGG) differs from conventional concrete principally in that it has consistency that will support a vibratory roller and an aggregate grading and paste content suitable for compassion by roller or other external methods. Roller compacted concrete of no-slump consistency in its hardened state that is transported, placed and compacted using earth and rock fill construction equipment. For the time being, use of RGG is growing very rapidly in Vietnam. The proper selection RGG mix proportion is an important step in obtaining an economical, durable concrete. This paper presents a optimal design method for proportioning RGG by application of experimental optimal plan.
