In the world of characters of Vietnamese novels in the period of 1960-1975 in general and novel on the subject of building socialism in particular, there has been an effective collaboration between the epic and novel in the building structure of characters, creating the typical literature forms of modern epic novel character "new man". The character structure reflects the reality of history and satisfies the method of art creation of socialist realism. It is deeply rooted in traditional literature and novel model of Russia - Soviet, combined with the historical era of revolutionary war and socialist construction in Vietnam. The most distinctive feature of the "new man" compared to the previous literary character is the ability tomaster: collective ownership and self employment. The new men existed simultaneously with the toundation, protection and development ofa socialist country, they fought and selflessly worked not for themselves, but lor their people and for all mankind. The look of idealization has built up a central character with posture and heroic beauty. They are the incarnation of a heroic nation in the age of heroes. They bring in their extraordinary qualities: simple, normal but extraordinary mental strength. Therefore, they are recorded and described as the most beautiful people, the greatest and most rich combat. They are the ideal human lite with the purpose to understand their work and the way you're going. Besides the advantages mentioned above, the character "new man" also puts the emphasis on pattern more or less limited to reflect the personal perspective.
