 The research outlined the history of photography in Vietnam, which started from the introduction of photography technique, became popular in the mid 19th century in Europe and then spread to Indochina by French pioneering photographers who came to Vietnam
  and then the appearance of Vietnamese photographers in the early decades of the 20th century. Their works are quite valuable materials for many research projects of Vietnam's history and society.
