The investigation was done in 900 pigs of two farms in Dong Nai province
there were 31 hernia pigs (3.44 percent), include 2.11 percent of umbilical hemia and 1.33 percent for inguinal/scrotal hernia. Inguinal and scrotal hernia pigs were often detected in pigs less than two months of age (58.33 percent) and this scale decreased with age, defected in male swine (91.67 percent) and in the left scrotum (67 percent). In the female swine there were happened inguinal hernia but rarely (8.33 percent). There were not complications during and after surgical correction, all of pigs were alive. For the umbilical hernia were often detected in pigs between 2 to 5 months of age (63.16 percent) and decreased with age. Umbilical hernia could be detected in both male and female pigs with the rate equivalent. After surgical correction, 94,74 percent of pigs were alive. The average wound healing times were from 4 to 10 days after surgery for both of inguinal/scrotal hernia and umbilical hernia.
