Purpose: To assess the results of the method of pterygium cutting surgery with conjunctival autologous graft and the recurrence rate after surgery. Subjects and Methods: 60 patients (60 eyes were operated) had pterygium in the level II, III, IV
the recurrence pterygium were operated to cut pterygium with conjunctival autologous graft in Department of Ophthalmology of Vietnam-Cuba Dong Hoi friendship hospital from May, 2010 to December, 2010. Time to follow up was after 1 months and 6 months. Results: The average age of patients was 58.2, the vision after surgery increased 73.3 percent, the good surgical result was 71,7 percent, the recurrence rate was 3.23 percent. Conclusion: Pterygium cutting surgery with conjunctival autologous graft is a safe and effective method to give good results and the low recurrence rate.
