Objectives: To evaluate the resuts of preservative treatment of blunt renal trauma in the department urology of Viet Tiep Hai Phong hospital. Methods: Between october 2005 and october 2010, the preservative treatment of blunt renal trauma for patients with hemodynamic stability has been performed in 45 patients in Viet Tiep Hai Phong hospital. All renal injuries were grade according to the American Association for the Surgery of trauma organ injury severity scale. Results: The preservative treatment of blunt renal trauma for patients with hemodynamic stability was successful in 45 patients: The mean age 47,6 years (range 15-76), 35 males (77.8 percent) and 10 females (22.2 percent), Grade I: 5 cases (11.1 percent), Grade II: 16 cases (35.6 percent), Grade III: 24 cases (53.3 percent). All cases were preservative treatment. 17/45 cases (37.8 percent) were transfused. All cases were transfused. Conclusion: preservative treatment of blunt renal trauma is feasible in patients who are hemodynamically stable.
