In the Western part of South Vietnam, many places were named after trees. Many of these trees have long disappeared from the earth's surface, but the names of the places can tell us that they were once there. Such names as Cay Muop canal (rivulet), Bon Bon swamp, Vam Sac bridge, Hamlet 7 Vuon Dieu, Mang Thit district, Rach Gia city... are valuable sources for researchers who wish to study more about the land.
