History brought different approaches to a mathematical concept. Learning theorists, textbook authors chose the approaches in accordance with pupils' cognitive levels and characteristics. Therefore, a mathematical concept in the textbook could not be approached as the same in the history. In this article, the approaches to fractional concept in history and mathematics textbooks in primary school are clarified.
