Project-based learning (PBL) focuses on connecting theory to practice. Therefore, it is really necessary to study and apply PBL to teaching chemistry, an experimental subject, concerning many real-life problems. This article is about an example on applying PBL to teaching the lesson "The concept of Terpenes " in advanced Chemistry textbookfor grade 11th. The quantitative and qualitative results indicate that applying PBL to teaching Chemistry not only inspires students to learn, enhances their learning results, but also helps them train essential soft skills for real life.
