At the mining depth of Tay Nam Da Mai coal mine, the coal deposit and surroungding rock are under the free drainage level. The physio-mechanical properties and the moisture content of rock as well as the mining conditions have changed and affected to mining activities and blasting work as well. The paper refers to some initial research results on the technological solutions for increasing the blasting efficiency under the conditions of free drainage level.
