On the basis of conducting a survey, the paper analyses corporate governance in banking in 37 commercial joint stock banks in Vietnam. This paper focuses on the aspects of legal framework for corporate governance in banking and the responsibilities of the board of management and disclosure and transparency. The paper also draws out some recommendations for enhancing corporate governance in banking in Vietnam.
