Aiming at identifying the effects of nitrogen level and the transplanting density on the growth, development, yield components and the grain yield of the Nep Oc rice accession (Register number 6962). The experiment was conducted in the saline area in Rang Dong commune, Nghia Hung district, Nam Dinh province. The results showed that the Nep Oc rice accession had quickly recovered after transplanting, with good growth and development pattern in the saline condition. Both the two experimental factors significantly affected diferent characters of the accession such as active tillering, number of panicles, biomass accumulation at heading stage, number of panicles per square meter, number of grains per panicle and actual yield. The result from this experiment suggested that the experimented Nep Oc rice accessions can be planted in large salinity area in Nam Dinh province.
