The research was conducted to assess the contents of COD, total Kjeldahl nitrogen (fKN) and total phosphorus (TP) from water in Penaeus monodone intensive ponds in Ca Mau province. Results of the research showed that average contents of COD were 70.6, 22.7 and 104.9 kg/ha in ponds with the density of 25 individuals/m2 using Tomboy, LaOne and CP respectively
total Kjeldahl nitrogen (TKN) were 40.69, 34.45 and 33.85 kg/ha, and total phosphorous (TP) of 0.8, 0.45 and 5.05 kg/ha. In ponds stocking at density of 35 individuals/m2 with LaOne feed, the contents of TKN, TP and COD were 50.51, 7.25 and 81.8 kg/ha respectively, and differed significantly in comparison with 25 individuals/m2. Recommended that farmers should apply the density in range of 20 to 30 individuals/m2 in order to limit the pollution from water that have been discharged directly to environments at the end.
