According to the resolution of the Vietnam Communist Party's third Central Conference, restructuring of public investment is one of the three most important tasks in the next five years together with the financial market restructuring and state-owned enterprises restructuring. To successfully restructure public investment, it is necessary to renovate the management of investment in general and of public investment in particular. This paper examines the results of renovation of investment management and provides some implications for more effective restructuring of public investment in Vietnam.
