Vietnam has been accessed to the World Trade Organization (WTO) has created positive effects for the economy. It has also promoted urbanization process. Hanoi has attracted many domestic as well as foreign investment projects. Therefore, having clearance land for implementing investment projects is one of the essential needs in the process of socio-economic development. In order to implement site clearance and compensation work, the system of legal documents of Vietnam currently has policies and measures for compensation, resettlement assistance, including resettlement housing development. Recently, some problems in resettlement housing development for households have delayed the implementation of socio-economic development projects. Therefore, the author examines some issues in developing resettlement housing in Hanoi in order to find solutions to improve the development of resettlement housing.
