In the training of Vietnamese dictation in elementary schools, the approach of feedback-to-error levelized by class and regional dialect may bring positive results. The article presents 495 Vietnamese syllables which appear with high frequency in the elementary textbooks Vietnamese. It shows that if pupils are trained to write correctly these syllables (selection by dialect will reduce the number of syllables to be trained) overcome up to seventy percent out of their possible spelling errors.
