Study was carried out to learn about cancer prevention communication access through mass media by public in selected provinces/cities in 2011. The results indicated that 83.4 percent of people having good access to information on cancer prevention
mainly through local TV channels (43.4 percent). Most people prefer to receive information from leaflets (43.3 percent), brochures (42.3 percent). 60.1 percent often watched the news/current events, with appropriate time is between 6pm-8pm daily (65.8 percent). The greatest difficulty in accessing cancer prevention information is lack of documents, materials (39.1 percent). Only 42.9 percent are satisfied with cancer prevention information provision. Interviewed 67.9 percent would like to be provided with information on cancer early detection. In conclusions, the majority of interviewed people said they mainly get information on cancer prevention from the local television channels but their satisfaction level is not very high. It is most said that the cancer prevention information is limited.
