Purpose: to evaluate the result of laser treatment for ROP after 5 years. Methods: children with ROP treated at Nationnal Obstretric - Gyneacology and Pediatric hospital from 2003 to 2006. An cross section study. Results and discussion: successful rate in 69.9 percent, 7.8 percent corneal power 43D. Axial length is 21.1mm. 6.8 percent retinal vessel contraction, 3.9 percent macular dragging. 24.6 percent strabismus and 8.7 percent nystagmus. 23.3 percent phthisis. Spherical equivalent is 2.51D, 80.8 percent amblyopia. Good outcomes if ROP out of zone I, treatment at prethreshold and less laser spots. Conclusion: the good result of laser treatment for ROP after 5 years is 69.9 percent, 6.8 percent changed vessel way, 3.9 percent macula dragging and 23.3 percent phthisis. There are relationships between treatment outcomes with severity of ROP and number of laser spots.
