The simultaneous kidney and pancreas transplant will be studied and performed in Vietnam for treatment of patients with type 1 diabetes and renal failure. The progresses and innovations were applied in selection, surgical procedures and post-transplant management in pancreas transplantation and in liver transplantation for the maximum safety of recipients. Some progress applied in liver transplantation in Vietnam received promising results.
