The percentage for cervical disc hernia was 21.46 percent and those for lumbar was 78.54 percent, in which common discs are C4-C5, C5-C6 and L4-L5, L5-Sl. Results and discussions: The good result was 62.30 percent, fair 18.32 percent, medium 14.13 percent, and bad result was 5.23 percent. The result of the patient group treated more than ten times of traction was better than the other treated less than ten times of traction with p 0.01. No different results between the group with cervical disc hernia and the group with lumbar disc hernia were found (p 0.05). Conclusions: Disc hernia traction therapy obtained a satisfactory effectiveness
however, its duration should be enough (from more than 10 to 15 traction times in order to get the best results.
