On 17/01/2012, the Ministry of Transport issued Decision No. 137/QD-BGTVT on approved detailed planning Vung Ang, Son Duong berthing areas (Ha Tinh province) in the period up to 2020 and orientations to 2030. This is the premise, the motivation to develop the Vung Ang Economic Zone in particular and Ha Tinh province in general and is one of the focal points of cargo transition in transit to Laos and Northeast Thailand.
