Hibiscus sagittifolius var. septentrional is Gapnep is a special medical and wild plant. It is not grown naturally any longer but its gene source is still kept for production among farmer households around Bao mountain in Bong Thuong village, Vinh Hung commune, Vinh Lac district in Thanh Hoa province and there has been no research study on cultivating the plant for broardening cultivation areas so far. To promote its production, expand the cultivation area for the plant, improve the farmer's income and make a contribution to preserve the source of its gene, a rare and precious medical plant in Vietnam it requires some technical cultivation measures for the farmers. The research findings in defining the appropriate techniques for the plant indicate that the main product taken from the plant is its roots so the plot height has a direct impact on the aspects relating to the root output such as the root length, the root diameter, the root quantity and the fresh/dried root ratio. The height of plot for the plant cultivation should approproatelybe from 30-35 cm
the distance is 25 cm correspondingly the suitable densityof 200,000 plants per hectare
the cultivation season is from mid- February to mid -March annuall
the appropriate amount of mixed manure per hectare is 20 tons with 200 kg N + 100 kg P2O5 + 75 kg K2O for both theoretical and practical output and gains high economic coefficient.
