Oospores of Phytophthora capsici Leonian were found in host tissue when attach leaves of Piper nigrum were inoculated with an isolate of each compatibility type. The results presented in this paper demonstrate that P. capisici well able to form Oospores in vivo, therefore the sexual stage may be found in nature in Vietnam and disease cycle is established.
