The paper analyzes the similarities and differences in organizational structure, object, coverage, financial resources and mechanisms to contribute and welfare services of the national health insurance program between South Korea and Vietnam. Since then raised a number of policy implications in order to contribute to increased participation rates of health insurance and quality of health care services in Vietnam today.
