Two lactone labdane diterpenes [coronarin D and (11E). 8(17).11, 13-labdatrien-15(16)-olide] were isolated in the first time from rhizomes of Hedychium coronarium Koen growing in Vietnam. Their structures were elucidated by IR. MS. 10 and 2D -NMR spectra. Their cytotoxic activities for three cancer cell lines (Hep-2. Lu and RD) were investigated.
