Life skills education for students is one of five contents of "Building friendly schools, active students" movement in schools from 2008 to 2013 launched by the Ministry of Education and Training. That confirms life skills education is an important content that should be taught in schools. For effective life skills education should be based on certain scientific basis. This article indicates the purpose and some basic requirements as the basis for the implementation of life skills education that is drown from some psychological theories.
