This paper presents a study on fabrication process of a chemical sensor using the MEMS pressure transducer combined with pH-sensitive PVA/PAA. The experiments were performed to synthesize the blend of PVA/PAA hydrogel, as well as to make the parts, assembly and packaging for completing the device. The sensor typical characteristics were tested and verified. The obtained results showed the good response of the sensor to the solution pH values in the range between 4 to 11. Using the linear dependence of output voltage on the pH value, the sensor sensitivity was evaluated as 30 mV/pH. Generally, the experimental results were good relatively agreement with those of simulation of the sensor characteristics reported in the past.
