Investigation on 775 people over fifteen years old in Thu Ngac and Long Coc communes, Tan Son district, Phu Tho province used quesnaired interview and stool examination by Kato-Katz technique in 2009-2010. The results showed that Taenia prevalence rate is 8.65 percent. The infection rate in male is 5.5 times highter than in female. Taenia egg possitive in stool of 67 Taeniasis patients in total (59.7 percent). The main symtomes of Taenia cases are: have proglottids in anus is 89.55 percent, proglottids in stool is 94.03 percent, soft faeces is 92.54 percent, movement in abdoment is 91.05 percent. The cured effect of the therapy by a single oral dose of Praziquantel with 20mg/kg for adult Taenia cases is 95.52 percent.
