Intergration of army and civil medical services in malaria control has contributed significantly to the protection of health for the army and people, especially in remote areas. Through the investigation of infections diseases in the malaria endemic areas, malaria has been a predominating disease. The survey results as two points in provinces of Lai Chau and Nghe An showed that's: There was not any severe malaria cases or death caused by malaria in the studied sites, the investigation of malaria vectors found the presence of the main vector anopheles minimus with the density from 0.08 to 1.1 (mosquito/cage/night). The phenomenon of migrants moving freely and people crossing the border causes mgny difficulties for management. The propaganda for media education and health education is one of the important measures in the work of controlling malaria which should be enhanced under the cooperation between Army and Civil medical services. The cooperation between Army and Civil medical services has actually made a big contribution and brought high effectiveness in protecting the health of the army and people in the malaria endemic areas, particularly in remote areas with travel difficulty. It is necessary to provide measures (such as supplying self- treatment drugs, impregnating bed nets for people sleeping overnight in the forest and soldiers going on business trips) for the army and people at the country border with malaria prevention measures suggested in the National Malaria Control Project.
