Study on the actual situation of heavy metal contamination in 240 various fish samples taken from 16 fish lakes/fishponds in Hanoi in both dry and wet season. The results showed that fish samples had been contaminated with As, Cr, Hg, Pb, Cd, Ni at different level. The contaminated level in dry season was significantly higher than in the wet one. In comparison with the MOH 2007 recommended heavy metal limits for fish meat or WHO guidelines (1991), the contamination is highest with Pb, Cr and Ni, then Hg, Cd and As at the least.
