An on-fann study was conducted to detennine the potential of dietary DDGS (dried distillers grains with solubles) on perfonnance, carcass characteristics, meat quality and economic returns of growing and finishing pigs. In a weaned to 35 kg study, pigs were fed diets containing 0, 4, 6 and 8 percent DDGS
0, 8, 10 and 12 percent DDGS in a 35-60 kg growth study and 0, 15, 17 and 20 percent DDGS in a 60 kg to slaughter study. There was no affect of DDGS on live weight gain, feed conversion ratio, carcass weight and percentage yield, back fat thickness, color and pH of lean meat. Efficiency of economic returns was improved when including DDGS at level of 8 (after weaning), 10 (growing) and 20 percent (finishing) in the pig diet.
