 This study was conducted for evaluating the effects of FSH hormone and oxygen concentration on the proportion of in vitro matured caprine oocytes. Experiment 1: Caprine oocytes were recovered from ovaries and in vitro cultured for 32 hrs in TC199 medium (Earle's salt with L-Glutamine and NaHCO3, Sigma, USA) supplemented with LH (5 ug/ml), Estradiol (1 ug/ml), Gentamycin (50 ug/ml), Fetal Bovine Serum (10 percent v/v), Natri Pyruvate (0.25mM) and FSH at different concentrations (0.05

  0.2 ug/ml), 5 percent CO2, 39°C). Experiment 2: Caprine oocytes were cultured for 32 hrs in TCM-199 supplemented with FSH 0.1 ug/ml and cultured in two incubators: 1st incubator (5 percent CO2+ 20 percent O2, 39°C) and 2nd incubator (5 percent CO2 + 5 percent O2, 39°C). Results indicated that proportion of matured oocytes in TCM-199 supplemented with FSH at 0.1 va 0.2 ug/ml (54.98 + 9.57 percent and 58.57 + 4.59 percent) was higher (P 0.05) than those of FSH at 0.05 ug/ml (39.53 + 9.13 percent)
  proportion of matured oocyte in TCM-199 supplemented with FSH at 0.1 ug/ml, 5 percent CO2 + 5 percent O2, 39°C (77.92 + 13.67 percent) was higher (P0.05) than those of FSH at 0.1 ug/ml, 5 percent CO2+20 percent O2, 39°C (59.61 + 5.84 percent). In conclusion, matured caprine oocytes were obtained by in vitro maturation method in Vietnam, they can be used for in-vitro caprine embryo production via in vitro fertilization or cloning technique.
