The study was to asess effect of As, Hg, Cd, Pb and Ni contamination of raising farm (water, soil) on quality of fishes in 16 Hanoi fishlakes/fishsponds. The results show that 100 percent water, soil and fish samples have been contaminated with 5 above-mentione metals at different level of contamination, depending on places, seasons, water layers where fishes live and the type of fishes. For fishes living in surface water layer and middle water layer there is closely correlation between concentration of As and Hg in water and in fishes. In conclusion, heavy metal contamination level of feeding enviroment (water, soil) have significantly effect on quality of fishes with p 0.05 or p 0.001.
