Research objective was to describe the educational stress and depression and anxiety among first year medical students. Research findings that educational stress: 45 percent having educational stress, often thinking about future (73 percent), pressure from parent (70 percent), from teacher (46 percent), peer pressure (46 percent). There has been a difference in educational stress between students living with parents/relatives and students living in dormitory (63 percent versus 43 percent), but no difference in gender. Anxiety disorder: the rate of answer "often" with all anxiety items is not high, the highest rate is 20 percent "worry about how weill do things". At answer "sometimes": 54.3 percent having difficulty falling asleep, 63.5 percent "worry that something bad will happen to me or my family". Mean score: 20.36 + or - 8.39. Depression: The low rate of all negative items: 6.5 percent often feeling sad, 6.3 percent feeling lonely... The high rate of positive items: sometimes and often enjoying life is 65.8 percent, 63 percent being happy, 52.3 percent being hopefull about the future.
