The study of 400 outpatients with type 1 diabetes treated at Bac Giang General Hospital between 1/2013 and 7/2013. The aim of the study: determining the proportion of chronic complication and relationship between chronic complication with the control of blood glucose, diabetic duration. Study design: cross-sectional study, 96 type 1 diabetes patients were examined clinically and biochemically with the following parameters:age, sex, diabetic duration, fasting plasma glucose, HbA1c, insulin, C-peptid, lipoproteins, ure, creatinin. Results: Mean age in a study group was 23,93 + or - 5,08. Number patient that there is complication make up 67,7 percent, eye complication 61,5 percent, renal 31,2 percent, nerve 38,5 percent, cardiovascular 5,2 percent. Most complications are detectable after 5 years. The chronic complication group was poor metabolic control than the group without complication. Conclusion: The glucose control was not good in a long time due to increasing of chronic complication in the type 1 diabetic patients.
