Non-operative treatment of liver trauma was specified at many surgical center in the world. However in the process of conservative treatment, liver injury cases could occurrence complications to operate or assigned other intervention methods to treat. As such, this study caried on with the aims of treating the complications in the nonoperative management of liver trauma. Results: from January 2007 to December 2009 at Viet-Duc hospital in Hanoi, the authors had treated 32 cases of complications due to nonoperative treatment of the closed liver trauma, of which were 15 males (62.5 percent), 12 females (37.5 percent), the average age of 13.7 + or - 30.47 (ranging from 12 to 80 years old). The cause of injuries: 28 traffic accidents (87.5 percent), 2 labor accidents (6.3 percent), 2 living accidents (6.3 percent). These patients were nonoperated but happened to complications, including: 10 vascular complications (31.3 percent), 8 intra-abdominal inflammation response (25 percent), 4 bile peritonitis (12.5 percent), 4 continuous bleeding (12.5 percent), 2 biloma (6.3 percent), 2 hollow organ injuries (6.3 percent), 1 intraperitoneal he mobilia leakage (3.1 percent), 1 increased pressure in the abdomen (3.1 percent). The happened time of complications averaged 3.3 + or - 3 days (range from 1-12 days). Managements: surgical treatments: 19 (59.4 percent), internal vascular interventions: 10 (31.2 percent), drainagewith guiding ultrasound: 1 (3.1 percent), endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography - ERCP: 2 (6.2 percent). Results: 100 percent discharged patients, no deaths in this study.
