The paper analyzes the situation of the trade balance in economic relations between Vietnam - China in 2001-2011 period and its impact on the development of Vietnam's economy, from which analyses causes, proposes solutions to help Vietnam gradually reduce deficit in trade with China, to ensure the development of stable and sustainable economy in the future.
