Vietnamese students of English learning French face a lot of difficulties in the recognition of the position and format change of French adjectives. Vietnamese and English adjectives are invariant. While Vietnamese adjectives are always placed in front of nouns, English adjectives are usually placed in front of and sometimes after nouns depending on specific cases. Therefore, the analysis of the characteristics of French adjectives is essential for those learning French. In the introduction of the article, the authorspresent definitions and some characteristics of French adjectives. Then, the authorsanalyze their characteristics, and finally, the author draw conclusions to help learners have an overview of adjectives so that they can make better use of them.
