 This article aims at clarifying the characteristics of commercial economics of Binh Dinh province from the 16th to the 19th century. (1) Binh Dinh was one of the leading commercial centers of Dang Trong and Nguyen dynasty
  (2) the commerce of Binh Dinh developed rapidly, "continuously" and "stably"
  (3) the urbanization was carried out early
  (4) Chinese people and waterway transportation played a very important role in the commercial activities of Binh Dinh
  (5) there was unequal commercial development among different regions of Binh Dinh with the busiest trading activities in the South of Binh Dinh.
