Background: The incidence of mid-face trauma is increasing, which affects the function and aesthetics of the face. Maxillary sinus is an important structure, which should be considered during the reconstruction of facial bone. This cases report research objects to evaluate the clinical features in patients suffering from mid-face fracture with maxillary sinus injury. Methods: 55 cases admitted to Thu Duc district Hospital from 09/2009 to OS/2012 with mid-face trauma, satisfying include and exclude criteria and were performed clinical evaluations. Results: in the research, male patients takes 83,63 percent. Most of the cases were from 15 to 40 years old (75percent), and caused by automobile accidents (81,8percent). The most common dinical features were pain (95,87percent), edema of soft tissue (94,54percent), drcumorbital ecchymosis (90,91 percent), deformity of bone (87,27percent), nose bleeding (86percent), subconjunctival hemorrhage (56,11percent), and difficulty in mouth opening (41,9percent). Conclusion: clinical features in mid-face trauma with maxillary sinus injury are various from mild to severe. Understanding of these signs helps us to have better strategy in management of mid-face fracture.
