Review of clinical and subclinical characteristics of tuberculosis patients in Bach Mai Hospital from June/2008 to June/2010. The results showed that the rate of male/female is 1.3. Mean age: 50.51 + or - 18.33. History of diabetes' 10.9 percent. Common clinical symptoms include: fever (51.2 percent), productive cough (50.7 percent), chest pain (41.9 percent), weight loss (27.1 percent), cracks (19.6 percent). Positive AFB in sputum: 20.7 percent
positive PCR- BK in bronchial liquid: 44.8 percent, positive bronchial biopsy: 83 percent. In conclusions, the clinical symptoms of tuberculosis in the study have no significant differences compared with previous studies. However, the study showed the value of clinical tests to confirm the diagnosis of tuberculosis.
