 Objectives: to evaluate characteristics of clinical and paraclinical of pregnant asthmatics
  to explore characteristics of pregnancy outcomes in pregnant asthmatics. Methods: retrospective and cross sectional study, 45 pregnant asthmatics treated at Center of Allergology and Clinical immunology in Bach Mai Hospital from Jan 2006 to Mar 2009. Results: Average age of patients was 29.8 + or - 5.3 (yrs). Hospitalized in moderate and severe dyspnea at 2rd trimester (26.7 percent) and at .7d trimester (53.3 percent). 44.4 percent did not take any medication during pregnancy. Premature delivery was 61.5 percent. Full term was 19.2 percent. Stillbirth was 7.7 percent. Spontaneous abortion was 11.5 percent. Average gestation weeks: 34.2 + or - 2.5 (weeks). Slow fetal growth was 57.1 percent, 42.9 percent normal fetal growth and preterm delivery was 85.7 percent. Conclusions: Almost all the asthmatic patients were hospitalized in moderate and severe dyspnea. Usual consequence in the pregnant asthmatics was premature delivery. Asthma is a high risk during pregnancy and pregnancy interfere with ability to treat for asthma.
