Purpose: study the transrectal ultrasound and Doppler features of prostate cancer. Materials and methods: retrospectively study 75 cases of prostate cancer diagnosised by transrectal biopsy from 1/2009 to 8/2011. The authors studied typical features of prostate cancer on Doppler and US. Results: on ultrasound, the average prostate volume is 58.1+or - 45.41 gr, 80 percent cases are bigger than 30gr. Typical ultrasound features are indifferenciation of peripheral - central gland (77.3 percent. deforming border (76 percent), seminal vesicle (58.7 percent) or bladder (20 percent) invasion, peripheral located lesions (79.2 percent), total gland (60 percent) or peripheral zone hypoechoic (25.3 percent), hyper vascularity (86.7 percent). Conclusion: typical features of US and Doppler have reliable value in diagnosing prostate cancer and locating lesions for guided biopsy.
