The study was carried out to describe X-ray characteristics of mandibular fractures at the chin area by the injury at National Hospital of Odonto-Stomatology from 10/2010 to 10/2011. The results show that rate of mandibular fractures at the chin area a line on X-ray film was majority (75 percent), mainly due to traffic accidents. The most common mandibular fracture at the chin area location was side (70 percent), mostly non-exposed skin. The majority of mandibular fracture at the chin area had injury co-ordinate: with mandibular fractures in other locations (60 percent)
injury around mandibular bone (73.7 percent)
with maxillary fracture and zygomaticomaxillary fracture (18.8 percent), traumatic brain injury (5.0 percent), femoral fractures (2.5 percent). In conclusions: the most common mandibular fracture at the chin area location was side, mostly non-exposed skin. The majority of mandibular fracture at the chin area had injury co-ordinate.
