This paper presents the results of synthesis of micro-mesoporous adsorbents nom separately micro and mesoporous materials by using CMC binder. The adsorbents were characterized by XRD, SEM, BET and TG/DSC. The results were repeated and they proved that obtained materials have surface area of 256 m2/g, pore distribution concentrated at 4.0 nm, solid particles with diameter of 0.25-0.35 nm and are thermal stable. The products were used to adsorb nicotine and tar in Vinataba, Huu Nghi and Bong Sen tobacco smoke. By using adsorbents, nicotine and tar contents in smoke reduce 13.2-29.9 percent and 6.1-34.2 percent, respectively, compared to that of control samples. By sensory evaluation, it is proved that adsorbent in filter do not change the quality of cigarettes.
