Mao Khe is one of the big underground coal mines with many year mining experience in Vinacomin. In the paper, the authors have listed the mining technologies applied to its coal mining operations in recent years with their key advantages and disadvantages as well. Basing on the results from the evaluation of the coal reserves and the geological conditions of the mine, the paper has also proposed the proper mining technologies for the coal seams at Mao Khe coal mine in the commg years.
