Almost of fanners planted coconut for the industry processing (90.6 percent of surveyed fanners), Viet and Xiem coconut varieties occupied 68.2 percent and 27.3 percent respectively
fanners transplanted by themselves (64.2 percent of surveyed fanners), and buying coconut tree from other fanners (31.7 percent) were essential. Intercroping in coconut was a popular option with the diversified fanning system, especially as cocoa tree. Average density of coconut planting was 257 trees/ha for farmers planting fresh-fruit coconut, 210 trees/ha for fanners planting dry-fruit coconut, 224 trees/ha for fanners planting multi-options, and 197 trees/ha for farmers planting new coconut. Income from coconut was the main earning resource of coconut production famers and the economic efficiency of coconut production gained fairly high for the fresh and dry-fruit coconut The average cost per unit of coconut fruit in the year 2010 get 1,625 -1,725 VND/fruit, the profit of coconut production varied 40 - 50 milion VND/ha/year, household income (profit and value of household labor) varied 50-70 milion VND/ha.
