Bacground: Bipolar hip arthroplasty was devised for fracture neck femur in elderly patients. Subsequently, indications have been expanded to include conditions affecting acetabulum like rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis and avascular necrosis of femoral head. Method: clinically prospective study. Result: There is no complication such as infection, dislocation, femur fracture, sciatica nerve paralysis. Charley hip score postoperative graded as excellent, good, fair and poor. Overall 16 out of 21 patients had good to excellent results after bipolar hip arthroplasty. Conclusions: bipolar hip hemiarthroplasty is a high-tech surgery. It requires experienced surgicals and closely indications. Patients after bipolar hip hemiarthroplasty can rehabilitate soon, avoid complications, improve their quality of lives.
