From 01/2006 to 07/2011 the authors treated 42 patients with acute myocardial infraction (MI) with fibrinolytic drug tenecteplase at Viet-Tiep Friendship Hospital, Hai Phong. In which the average age of the 42 patients 62,26 + or - 12,20 including 32 males (76,19 percent) and 10 females (23,81 percent). Results: ST elevation reduced 50 percent of the 26 patients (61,91 percent). ST returned to normal in 12 patients (28.57 percent). ST doesn't change in 4 patients (9,52 percent). The average reduction of ST elevation after 1h using tenecteplase compared with the time of admission were: 1.70 + or - 1.25 vs. 4.34 + or - 1.43 with P 0.05.The group of using drug before 3-6 hours has success rate of 93,75 percent. The group of using drug after 3-6 hours has success rate of 88,46 percent. Angiographic results: The group of using drug before 3hours has success rate of 87,50 percent. Group of using drug after 3hours has success rate of 76,92 percent. Complications of arrhythmias: there was 14 patients suffering from ventricular premature (33,33 percent)
3 patients suffering from ventricular free acceleration (7,14 percent)
2 patient suffering from severe supraventricular tachycardia (4,76 percent)
5 patients suffering from mild bleeding (root of teeth, injection area) (11,90 percent). Conclusion: The drug tenecteplase has good effect in the treatment of acute myocardial infarction arriving before 6 hours with a success rate of 90,48 percent.
